Live at the Lyceum/Booking

Sometimes Gym, Sometimes Theater, Sometimes Concert Hall...
The Brooklyn Lyceum loves to play host to music.

When there are free nights we try to mix it up with music whenever we can.

Here is how it goes(and why).
The main space is rather large.

The mezzanine(holds about 35) is much more intimate.

Here's the performance process...

In an effort to work with smaller/local performers we have started instituting the 21 day rule.
For any unbooked date no more than 21 days out we will go to the list and fill the nights.
The deal is this:

• You have submitted stuff to us.
• You want to play here.
• We have an open night and enough time for press releases to matter.
• We end up filling nights that otherwise might go unused.

You start out in our mezzanine space. If you sell 50 tix in advance and a larger room is available, then we move you to the other room. Thus if you draw 30 it feels good. If you draw 100, it feels good.

We have basic sound in the mezzanine. If you need elaborate setup, you should probably rent instead of using the 21 day list.

The main space dollar thing is:

• The house gets greater of $5 or half the door with a minimum of $5/ per person.
• Thus if you charge $6, you get $1/person. If you charge $7, you get $2/person.
• The cafe serves cafe food and drinks. Stuff like cookies, muffins, juices, sodas.
• We sometimes plan to get a beer permit for the evening.
