Divided and Conquered
Eschewing the regular bar-type quiz show, this one puts it (and you) on the line for a cold, hard $1,000.00.
Divided and conquered seeks 32 contestants for each contest to compete for a $1,000 prize.
Each purchase at the Brooklyn Lyceum cafe gets you a chance to answer a question. Right then. Right there. The barista on duty will have questions for you to answer. Answer correctly andyou will get a chance in the drawing for 32 contestants. So, if you buy three coffees and answer 3 questions, you will be entered 3 times. Each person must leave email, phone and name so that can be contacted regarding the contest.
If you buy 5 coffees you can work it around. Five separate questionsfor five entries or one question for five entries.
The 32 contestants will participate as follows:
Repeat for 32,16,8,4,2 people left:
- Split randomly into 2 teams.
- Each team gets 5 minutes to answer a group of 10 questions.
- The team with the most correct answers moves on to the next round.
- The losing team is out of the competition, but with special consolation prizes.
- ***CAVEAT # 1*** Teams may stop round at any point after 2 minutes if then feel they have answered more questions than their opposing group.
- ***CAVEAT # 2*** In final round each contestant "may" chose one person from the audience to help. Prize is then split among the two people. The chosen person may not have been in the original 32.
Last person standing gets $1,000.00, or if they grabbed a helper they split the $1,000.
