Gowanus Dance Initiative - The hunt is on
On a quasi-regular basis (several times a year) experience dance that will move you. In Brooklyn. Near the Gowanus. Where you least expect it. Are you one of the dance companies people need to see?
We are seeking dance troupe to perform at the Initiative. Here is how it works....
- Looking for three troupes to round out a weekend of three separate shows a night.
- We provide:
- 24' deep by 32' wide marley dance floor.
- Seating of 100-200 depending on stage setup.
- 20' ceilings
- 25' movie screen
- Projector
- PA.
- House light plot:
- 2 specials
- Spotlight available.
- Markeing via press releases, email, posters, banners.
- You provide:
- Dance production that works within this structure that excites our reviewers. Don't worry, our reviewers like all kinds of dance. Whether Modern, Jazz, Flamenco, Broadway, B-Boy, etc.
- Whatever marketing you can past your email list.

- Press Pack
- Bios of dancers and choregogaphers
- DVD highlights (or weblinks to reperesentative sample)
- Copies (or links to) any reviews or press stories.
- $50 administrative submission fee(money order) made payable to "The Brooklyn Lyceum.".
